In briefly considering Saul and Solomon, what spiritual hazards should we avoid?

King Saul did not trust God spiritually and listened to the attention of himself and the people. King Solomon also did not trust God, and faced spiritual corruption due to the wrong marriage alliance with neighboring countries.

We should avoid anything that is tempting which can take our focus off of God. Saul and Solomon show us how desires for power and wealth can be destructive and ultimately lead to many problems in life.

Greed, envy, having other Gods other than the True God.

Pride.

We must stay focused on the God and when we are distracted by wealth, power, and recognition, our spiritual live will suffer.
