Do not glorify ourselves in the name of God. Rather live our lives for Gods glory.

Saul was eager to go ahead of God’s commands in order to suite his own interests. He paid the price for his disobedience. Solomon slowly fell away from the Lord because he was lured by foreign women and their gods. We can see ourselves in these two characters. We must seek to avoid selfish ambition and the lure of worldly lusts.

We shouldn’t challenge God’s will by trying to hold onto things that aren’t meant for us. We need to put aside our pride and trust His plan.

Doing things our own way instead of trusting in God and His way. In ALL your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your path! Also with that is arrogance and pride.

We should avoid pride and pitting our will against God’s will.
