In briefly considering Saul and Solomon, what spiritual hazards should we avoid?

No be self-centered like they were. When Saul ruled, he demanded respect from people, with Solomon he carried false religious and lived above his means. We should avoid trying to live above our means, following other Gods, and the only one we need to respect is God.

Our number one priority must be on our relationship with God. Whenever God comes in second, we find ourselves trying to control our lives or endulging in pleasures of this world.

In their self-centeredness they took their eyes off of God. They took for granted the blessings of the Lord and became prideful.

We must stay centred on God, not be swayed by wordly things. Acknowledge God in all we do
