By the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and out of love for God, we will seek to live in a way that honors Him, and brings glory to Him.

When someone accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, then the Holy Spirit will change how the person lives. Our desire is to become more like Christ.

Because living the way Christ taught us to live will show the benefits Christ said we will receive. We will experience more peace than if we live as the world lives, we will feel more love towards others, we will see and experience the fruits of the spirit.

If there is no fruit in our walk we can see for ourselves that we are not in Christ. Living in Him and according to His way not only shows us that we are affirmed in our faith but also draws others to want what we have.

Christ’s command is to follow Him, in other words to live and to deal with others the way Christ did. Therefore the only proof of the reality of one’s faith is to live as Christ did, and the only way one can do this is by the indwelling Spirit, without whom it would be impossible to maintain a real Christian walk.
