In comparing the five major faiths, what impressed you most about each faith’s unique view of God and creation?

I think the most interesting thing is that while they all have a God that they believe in, there are so many differences in their god’s abilities and behaviors.

They all have a concept of God. The relationship with the said God is different. In asking the question “what is truth?” I can only conclude that having a concept of God is not enough. Wrong relationship with Him can result in wrong practice in Life.

It is most impressive to find similarities thread through the worldviews of the five major fiaths.

It impressed me that, whatever the concept of deity is, man has the conviction that there is a supernatural realm and some kind of God. It impressed me that in Hinduism and Buddhism there is no clear idea of a personal God who is distinct from the elements of nature. Although Judaism and Islam have doctrines of such a personal God, it impressed me that only Christianity has the doctrine of a God who became incarnate and died for man.

What impresses me the most is the ‘Thread’: a belief in ‘God’ and ‘Creation’. I believe it is pre-existent Christ, Logos (John 1:1) teaching and preparing for the fullness of time (Gal.4:4), but that’s just my opinion.
