Time especially because it is not only important to note the time of when it was being prophesied, but also how time is related in the prophecies. The audience is to show who the prophecy was for. Note that some of the prophetic word of Daniel was shown again in Revelation. So time is still to come in those prophecies.

We need to have an understanding of the time of when the prophet was speaking. We also need to know who the prophet was speaking to. Without these guides, it is difficult to understand the prophetic message.
