Beautifully stated in the lesson, “the Israelites feared the giants more than they trusted the Lord.” Sobering reminder for us today.

The Israelites wandered aimlessly in the wilderness because they did not focus or believe God. Like most of us today they are impatient and wanted answers right away instead of waiting on God.

Because they refused to enter into the promised land that God had sent them to. They trusted more in what the ten spies reported than what God could do.

Israel wandered in the wilderness for almost forty years because they feared the giants of Canaan more than they trusted God. They rebelled against God and prayed that God would not make them enter the promised land. God granted their request and commanded them to wander in the wilderness until that entire rebellious generation died.

The Israelites let fear cloud their judgment resulting in mistrust of God’s promise and disobedience of His commands.
