In the section “Settlement: Seeing God,” what truth about God impressed you the most? Why?

God is powerful and in control. He loves His people and will take care of them but He is righteous and just. We cannot separate those aspects of His character. He will always keep His promises but it requires obedience from us. That is the relationship of dependence that He desires and that we have to embrace.

God has the ability to turn significant obstacles into safe pathways. I realize that when something seems large or difficult for me it is not a problem for Him. It does not catch God by surprise and He already knows the correct answer and the way through the trial.

Tuning obstacles into something that brings Him Glory. It is amazing to look back at my life and see how God has used my hard times to bring me closer to Him. On top of that, it made me realize how great a God He is.

I think the biggest thing that is impressive is that the God of the Universe keeps His promises to insignificant man. How awesome is it, that God sees us.

He is patient with sinners, but His patience has limits. Don’t test the limits!
