In the section “Settlement: Seeing God,” what truth about God impressed you the most? Why?

God will give us direction, but we need to follow it. God is in control of everything, but he allows us to make decisions. I think this is beautiful in a relationship with Him standpoint as he will step in at the perfect time but gives us free will to learn from Him. When the Red Sea was parted, Israel needed to follow that path. When they didn’t enter Canaan, they were punished. Even though some instances are tough to face, we still need to trust in God and not ourselves.

God has always kept His word.

I think him being a promise keeper is impressed on me the most because it helps give me hope that he will do what he says he will!

God promises to be with those who move forward with Him. In my heart, that is everything. If the God who created all creation, including us, is with me as long as I move with Him…that’s literally everything. All of God’s truths are great. I’m thankful for His amazing love, grace and promise keeping, but there may be times those truths aren’t always easy to see as a human. Knowing that He is with me if I move forward with Him, regardless of what my human abilities can understand as I live through any given season, is the focus for me to strengthen my faith.

He promises to be with those who move forward with Him. I really like this because if I am in His will, I can trust that He will be with me as I walk with Him.
