In the section “Settlement: Seeing God,” what truth about God impressed you the most? Why?

God has a plan that is so far beyond our comprehension. He wastes nothing, and we are always moving toward his outcome even when we don’t see it.

God keeps His promises. Even through sinful people, God still fulfills His promises.

God’s plans and purposes will not fail. He is concerned about every detail.

“Impressed” is an interesting word when talking about seeing God. Everything about God is more than impressive, it is beyond our human comprehension (Psalm 103:11). The humbleness of God always sounds me. That the God of all creation cares about us.

I dont know if “impressed” is the best way to describe it, but the truth about God that was most striking as a reminder was “He wants His mighty works remembered and recounted to our children.” One of the ways Israel failed to follow God was by failing to keep this commandment. Israel did not tell their children of the things God had done in the past, so they forgot the importance of a relationship with Him based on His faithfulness.
