In the section “Settlement: Seeing God,” what truth about God impressed you the most? Why?

God’s balance of having patience with sinners, but having limits and his ability to be loving and kind simultaneous with his righteousness and justice are always astounding to me.

Simply put, he keeps his promises. That is the most humbling and life giving reminder to us when we try and figure life out on our own. He never fails… it’s not always how we would draw it up, but he is Faithful and keeps His promises.

For me, it is "He has the power to turn formidable obstacles into safe pathways". He has done this for me in my life. When my wife left and I had the 3 boys we had together it was a very challenging time to balance their school, my work, and home life in a manner that was conducive to them being happy. Once I started following Jesus, GOD changed my life completely around and done it in a way that only HE could recieve praise, which attracted my wife's attention, and now we are happier then we have ever been, and it is all due to the power of GOD’S grace and mercy.

I was impressed that God was always present. He still is. The same God of the Old Testament is the God of today.
