In the section “Settlement: Seeing God,” what truth about God impressed you the most? Why?

The truth about God that impressed me the most was that God is with those who move forward with him as shown through his dealings with Joshua and the Israelites and their conquest of the promised land. It helps remind me that God is present with me even in the difficult circumstances of my life. He is with me even when I do not feel him.

The truth that He is ALL- powerful. He can turn obstacles into safe pathways – even when there seems to be no way. I have tendency to forget just how powerful He is – especially in my own life when I can’t see a way…I can remember that He can make one – He can literally do ANYthing. He can control nature and He can soften hearts. He can right my wrongs. He is still the God of miracles that we see in the Old Testament!

THe truth that I tend to forget is • “He promises to be with those who move forward with Him” I have seen it always even when I forget He is with me and will take care of me in any situation, He is always there guiding me and shows up in might ways.

“He has the power to turn formidable obstacles into safe pathways”
What a beautiful picture of who God is to his children! It also reminds me that his ways are not our ways, his plan & purpose always prevail no matter what our circumstances may look like on the outside.

God is always with us. The Israelites crossed over into the promised land through the Jordon River . The Ark of the covenant was carried by the priest symbolizing the presence of God. And even though Moses had died God raised up another leader in Joshua to lead his chosen people into the land of promise.
