God’s forbearance regarding our propensity toward sin when we…distrust, take control, don’t believe, respond to situations with greed, or surrender the blessing in exchange for immediate gratification as in Esau’s story produce in me a desire for sincere and faithful commitment and immense gratitude to Him because I realize that though I desire to give my self to Him in complete surrender I struggle with sin and cannot follow Him perfectly. But I am grateful for His mercy and goodness.

He promises to be with those who move forward with Him. It is comforting to know that regardless of your present, past, and future circumstances that God is there walking besides you. Giving you guidance and direction when we seek Him and submit to His will and direction for our lives.

The careful attention and care that God gave to Abraham…seeing that he had no son…God has people on his heart.

I am most impressed by God’s sovereignty, His complete control over His creation.
When I begin to think that evil is winning and become discouraged, I am reassured that God is in control.
When I am fearful that I might mess up I am comforted that God is in control. -
The thing that impresses me the most about God is his complete control over creation. Nothing is outside of his control. The reason this impresses me so much is because it shows how finite we are in comparison to him.
