A micro-observation focuses on a smaller portion of the scripture. We observe it more closely and in detail. A macro-observation has a wider view of the entire book.

Macro is a wider view of the book, gathering as much information as possible from the surrounding passages of the book. Micro will get to the bottom of the verse by focusing on the verse itself.
-
Macro-observation includes looking at the book of the Bible with detail, but micro-observation involves digging deeper into the who, what, when, where, why and how of a smaller portion of scripture.
-
Macro observation is a broader understanding of the book, while micro observations digs much deeper.

Macro is looking at the book as a whole and to me its just reading it. Micro breaks down the book into passages and deeply studying it. This helps to better understand God’s words
