How would you describe the differences between the process of doing macro- and micro-observation?

Macroo gives us an overview, but micro helps us to pick up lessons, concepts and themes, ideas and what the author is trying to say in that passage
-
Macro- telescopic view of the broad ideas of a whole book
Micro- microscopic view of the minute details of a passage
-
In one you observe the whole book and in micro you observe the text

While macro-observation is concerned with an entire Bible book, micro-observation is used to study only a portion of scripture contained within any of the 66 books of the Bible. Macro gives an overall view of the whole book, while micro covers a smaller portion only. It is like using a telescope or magnifying glass to observe something versus using a microscope. Both will show you something more closely but one allows you to see all of the small details and the other gives you a bigger generalized picture. However, both methods of observation will enhance and clarify your Bible learning experience and are key tools in any personal Bible study.

I see macro- as understanding the general overview of a book while micro- is going deeper into specific passages/parts of the book.
