In this lecture we learned that Hebrews was written to people who were tempted to abandon their new faith in Christ. Have you ever been tempted to give up your faith in Christ? What helped sustain your faith at that time?

I’ve never really been tempted to give up my faith other than the doubts of my own mind. When that happens I just bury myself deeper in the word and strengthen my assurance. That has been a great help to me.

I do not recall been tempted to give up my faith but there are many times in my earlier years, I have faltered, slacked and slipped into complacency. Each time I slacked in my walk and slipped into chaos in my life, God’s mercy and grace always finds me and brings me back. God always brings me to the place of repentance and confession and restored me.

Come to think of it, the thought never came across my mind amid all the challenges I faced in my ministry.

Have I ever? Yes, I think we all suffer from temptation both with the trappings of the world and false teaching. Our world tells us the same thing it did to Eve. Surely you won’t die! But the world and all of its lies are false. We are not bigoted and out of date if we hold to Jesus.

I’ve always believed in Jesus Christ but on’y just recently started dedicating my life to him. I want to spread the good word. Salvation can be anyone as long as they are willing to put the work in. I’m working on becoming the best christian i can become. I plan learning everything i can about our Heavenly Father and teach anyone the is willing to learn.
