I would say that I’ve been tempted by doubts at various times throughout my life, but by God’s grace I do not recall a serious desire or temptation to abandon faith altogether. As Peter put it in John 6:67-69*, where else would I go? Anything the world has to offer as an alternative to following Christ has been amply demonstrated to me as emptiness.
*67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

Yes, due to some false teaching, but the HOLY SPIRIT convicted me, reminding me of how my faith in CHRIST brought me through some personal storms. My faith in CHRIST became stronger and deeper.

No, I have never been tempted to give up the faith. It is to much a part of who I am. I have been, as Paul admitted ” troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.” thoughts are not God’s thoughts but I ow He loves me and will take care of me always.

I have not been tempted to give up my faith in Christ but have been challenged by a church community that often forgets the purpose of our being together.

I never gave up the faith but wondered very far from it. It wasn’t until mother’s day in 1999 that I rededicated my life to Jesus. I went back to my old church with my parents.
