I am a self-achiever so in my younger years my desire to compete with others was my greatest temptation, but after every win I would always give Christ the glory and thank Him for all things. As I recall, I can remember suffering loss of memory due to trauma, I completely forgot about my Lord and Savior, but my memory and faith was restored after running into a witness on my way to work. It was a very strange situation; one I will never forget.

Yes, as a victim of civil war in my country, I lost hope and even faith in my suffering. I questioned whether God exist. And if there is a God, why I suffered like this? But in my suffering and my questioning of the existence of God, I still maintained hope and faith. I read my bible and learned that people are called friends of God suffered but they did not abandoned their faith and God rewards them for their perseverance.

Yes, I have been tempted. A combination of solid Christian women praying for me constantly and then God showing me HE will provide.

There have been times since I came to faith that I have taken pause and asked myself if I really believe what I profess to believe. I have noticed how radically different my life and actions are compared to before, and I have had to evaluate whether this was really ‘me’ (as I have a tendency to mask and fall into step with those around me without being conscious of it. However, when I do this, I always think of the fullness of life that I have in Christ, even in times of difficulty.

I don’t recall a time that I was ever tempted to abandon by faith in Christ. There were times that I didn’t live as Christ would want me to live. During those times, I always felt a pull to be closer to God and be in God’s word.
