Jesus knew that the religious leaders were testing Him to see if He would violate the Sabbath. However, His healing of the man’s withered hand demonstrated that He is Lord of the Sabbath. In the parable of the prodigal son, we see a true expression of Jesus’ unconditional love, a love that leaves no room in the heart for rejection.
