In the gospel of Mark 2, Jesus healed the man who cannot walk and in the gospel of John in chapter 2, Jesus changed water into wine.

Jesus performed many miracles – one is that He raised Lazarus from the dead.
Jesus spoke in parables – one is the parable of the talents in Matthew 24:15-30 in which a man gives each of three servants some of his property to care for while he travels.

Jesus raised at least 3 people from the dead. The centurion’s daughter, the widow’s son, and Lazarus.
The parable of the man who calculates if he can afford to build his tower so that he won’t be ridiculed always stands out to me. When I was a child we had a neighbour buy a piece of land from a farmer, poured the foundation and built dog houses, then couldn’t finish it. The farmer bought it back at a discount, dumped soil over the whole thing and to this day crops grow over that foundation.

The first miracle (sign) of Jesus was turning water into wine. This proved who Jesus said He was–fully God! He could transcend time itself, since He is outside of time, to age water into wine. An example of a parable Jesus shared was the wedding feast that no guests wanted to attend. Jesus shared that the wedding host had to go into the streets and find strangers to attend the feast. This shows that even Christ’s own people, the Jews, rejected Him. Gentiles were more likely to accept Him.

Jesus heals a paralyzed man and he tells the parable of the sower.
