An example of a miracle was when Jesus turned the water into wine at the wedding. A parable is the use of a story by Jesus to illustrate a lesson. My favorite parable is that of the prodigal son.

When Jesus changed the water into wine, he transcended chemistry and time. This gave evidence or proof that He is the Son of God. It also showed His compassion for his mother and other people. The parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us how we should treat someone in need, regardless of who they are.

A parable is like a story that could have happened in real life and a miracle is a or work God that transcends the law of nature.

The parable of the Good Samaritan which taught not just to care for others, but also not to judge by appearances. A man from a background that was DESPISED by the Jewish leaders, provided more compassion than those who thought themselves righteous. The miracle of calming a storm at sea (Jesus was asleep in the boat) proved that He had power over creation, and that we could trust what He said.

The parable of the prodigal son is an example of a parable he used to communicate truth and turning the water into wine when the wedding he was invited to ran out is his first miracle.
