Fo insatnce in feeling the 5000 people jesus was able to meet their physical as well as spiritiual needs. He was also able to teach them not to be wasteful by asking his disicples to pick up the left overs and they were able to gather 12 full baskets of food! By using parables to teach his disciples Jesus was able to teach his disciples and future belivers about the secrets of the kingdom of God.

A man named Jairus was searching for Jesus in a crowd one day. He was searching for Jesus because he believed his 12 year old daughter had died. Jairus wanted Jesus to come to his house and pray for his daughter. When Jairus found Jesus and asked Jesus to come to his house, Jesus replied to Jairus “don’t be afraid believe only. ”
When Jesus arrived at Jairus’s house, He said that Jairus’s daughter was not dead but asleep. Jesus then stretched out His hand and said to the little girl, “Talitha Cummi, which means rise up little girl. The little girl sat up and Jesus said, give her something to eat.An example of one of Jesus’s parables, I would like to speak about the parable of the prodigal son. A man had two sons. One of the sons wanted the share of his investments/money. The father honored the son’s request by giving the son his money. The son spent his money foolishly. He also became a poor man. His dad wanted the son to return home and live like a rich man again.
One day the father saw his son coming home from a far off. The dad was so happy to see his son that he began to run towards his son with open arms and a friendly kiss.
The son was happy to be home again.

The person who finds a treasure in a field that is worth all he has goes and sells all he has to buy that field. That communicates the truth that God is worth everything! He is the treasure worth giving up everything for.
