Jesus walking on water is an example of one of his miracles. This miracle is documented in Matthew 14 22-33 NIV, Mark 6:45 NIV, and John 6:16-21 NIV. Through this miracle Jesus was communicating that He could do nothing apart from His faith in God. Jesus was able to walk across the water because He put all of His faith in God. An example of a parable is “the wise and foolish builders”. This parable could be found in Matthew 7:24–27 and Luke 6:47–49. Jesus used parables (stories) to communicate lessons to his disciple’s. The parable of the “wise and foolish builder” taught His disciples that in order to build a strong foundation in Christ, one must actively live out His word. Using God’s word to lead your life, will ultimately provide you with a strong foundation.

The miracles Jesus performed were the evidence that Jesus was (is) the Son of God. The parables are stories Jesus developed to give the listeners (and us)an understanding of real life situations that we can apply in our every day lives.

Parables were stories in which every listener could place themselves, like the prodigal son.
Miracles were acts of love to demonstrate that He is God! -
Parable is the Sower in which He taught us to be fruitful disciples.
Miracle is raising Lazarus which was His final one and the way He showed He was God. -
An example of Jesus’s miracle is turning water into wine. One of the parable is sowing a seed or the prodigal son. I can read parables over and over again because they make you think and Jesus was a good story teller and wise teacher.
