One miracle was the healing of the blind man. He was blind until the man had faith and asked Jesus to restore his blindness.

I always enjoyed the Parable of the Prodigal Son. The story brings hope to every believer. That no matter how far you’ve gone God our Father is waiting with open arms to receive you.

A miracle was something that transcended the supernatural, such as, Jesus walking on the water. A parable was a fictional story that COULD have been real, that was told to teach a lesson and was full of meaning.

Jesus performed His miracles to reveal that He is God’s Son and that He offer to save people from their sins as a legitimate reason.
On the other hand, with parables, Jesus used it to reveal truth to those who wanted and to conceal the truth from those who rejected His parables.

Miracle – at the Bethesda pool, He sought out a man who had been lame for almost 40 years, forgave his sins and healed him. It shows that He has the power of God, that He IS God, because only God could have healed the man instantly.

Parable – the lost sheep, one of 100 that was lost, the shepherd will search for it until found. Jesus wants everyone to believe in Him and He will always seek out those who search for Him earnestly. He will not leave even one behind that has been given to Him…
