Our principal does a wonderful job making parents feel included in the school. Many parents volunteer using their skills in ways such as PE coach or lunch volunteer. Many parents are even teachers at the school. This helps us gives parents a sense of ownership in the school. We also prioritize meeting when parents have concerns and communicating with parents daily about the classroom activities.

Our preschool opens early to accommodate parents and employees, our elementary offers before and afterschool programs for parents who need to go to work. We have a PTO, prayer once a week and a coffee once a month for parents to meet. We encourage parent volunteers in classrooms, fieldtrips, special activities, sports fields and especially in chapel for all ages.

Parents are able to come in and volunteer their time as lunch room helpers, classroom helpers, chaperones on field trips. I invite parents to come in when their child has a presentation to do. It shows that I want to come along side and help them. The parents feel involved and “in the loop” as to what their child is doing in school.

Our school has several volunteer opportunities for parents. We vary the opportunities and times so all parents can be involved.

Our school supports parents. We have before care and after care for parents. We have a PTO , parents and teachers talk about ideas for the school and families. We communicate with parents through Bloomz app for messages, school events, etc. We have parent teacher conferences twice a year. We pray for our families in class everyday.
