We support parents by giving them open communication and response into the schools decisions and discipline. We also offer a prayer group for parents.

Parents are included through the ongoings of the school through updates and access to calendars, teachers send newsletters and updates, grade checks are updated frequently and electronic updates are circulated frequently. Questionnaires and surveys are distributed and parents have access to administrators. Even though every effort is taken to include the parents, sometimes the message is not received.

Virtual parent academies have been offered several times a year since 2020. It has been helpful to those who take time to attend or watch the replay, but the percentage of parents involved is low.

I am so thankful that our high school has a PTF program, which stands for parent-teacher-fellowship. This is an organization that invited parents in to attend relevant lectures for how to raise and talk to teens or how to parent through social media. Through the PTF, there are many opportunities to volunteer and support new family luncheons or coffee get togethers. Teachers are very good about reaching out to parents and making sure that they feel valued and appreciated for supporting the school. The benefits extend to the students, the families, the teachers and the administration. Our school has a wonderful community and I believe that PTF is a big component of why.

Our school does very good with supporting parents. We will have meetings before school, afterschool, during the day or just over the phone for the parents. We also have before and aftercare so if they need to drop them off early or stay late, they don’t have to worry about if their child is being taken care of. It has been very positive and all the parents are very happy with the flexibility it provides.
