We have open communication with parents. The parents can reach out to the administration and teachers with questions. We have an extensive online platform where parents can see lesson plans, grades, report cards, missing assignments, and forms of communication.

We have parents involved in the classroom as volunteers, as well as parent support groups which pray for the school and students and bring encouragement and support with donations, etc. Our parents help us to create a community that strives to involve everybody and allow us to build those relationships with the entire family unit.

The school has both morning and evening daycare programs. The principal worked very hard to get some children on the public school bus routes, and even sheared minutes off the children’s class time so the parent would not have to disenroll their child.

Our school offers vary accommodating hours of operation. We do not offer breakfast but we have a cafeteria that serves a variety of lunches to assists parents with this area. We have a parent support group, but I don’t really know what they do besides fundraiser. I need to reach out to their leaders and see what’s available. I see some benefits. I would love to see the morning coffee shop! I love that!

Our school currently supports parents through before school care, so that those working parents can have a safe place for the children to go before course begins. We also offer a tuition credit for those parents who can volunteer 20 hours or more of their time in a classroom throughout the school year. I usually see moms in the classroom volunteering, but a fabulous way our school gets dads involved regularly is through our Dads on Duty program. Dads can sign up for time slots during each week to patrol the campus and make sure we are safe from any and all potential threats.
