Personally I like to send home positive parent notes at least once a grading period per student. My school offers before and after school care for all grade levels to accommodate parents that work outside of the home and hours that are different from the regular school day.

I too am a parent and don’t know that there is a huge focus on parents. We have families sign a letter saying they are Christians to admit the child, so we continue raising the child in the Christian world view along with the parents. I communicate often with parents as needed. They do open houses, back to school nights, and parent-teacher conferences as well.

A lot of opportunities for parents to come to the school and see student progress.

Our school requires us to make and record a minimum of 72 parent contacts per school year.

Offering conference times that go later than normal school hours is helpful as well as holding programs in the evening sometimes so that all can attend.
