We try to keep our parents very involved in our school. We say that we are “partnering” with them as they join our school. As they volunteer and pour into the events/ classroom, we show our appreciation to them as well. Last week they had a breakfast for the parents to show appreciation. We also try to make things very accessible to them online as far as homework and communication goes. The benefits have been just a smoother more cohesive environment of communication and support all around.

Our school is very open to family involvement. Parents are often volunteering in the many activities that happen throughout the school year. Just recently our school did a meeting for parents were a expert in AI explained CHAT GPT and gave them very relevant and useful information about it.

There are several ways that we involve parents at my school, some of which include:
    – Monthly parent pillars of prayer meetings
    – Parents as learners (PALS) sessions every semester to discuss practical ways for parents to support their children’s learning, ranging from ELLs to managing homework
    – Online and Onsite Coffee Morning Q&As for stay-at-home moms who wish to know more about the curriculum
    – Mission and Field Trip Participation
I have seen parents become involved, serve alongside one another, and engage in forming strong school community bonds. Greater parental inclusion creates a warm, welcoming, and caring school.

We provide an online platform where parents can check the homework for the week. We invite parents to take part in our field trip, Spiritual emphasis days and service days. We have a morning room for students so parents are able to drop off their children earlier than the start of school.

Recently, our ninth graders took a trip to Washington, D.C. Several of our parents joined us. It was a great time of bonding outside the school setting. Some students experienced flying on an airplane for the first time. We also have several cultural night events throughout the year. Students, parents, and staff enjoy sharing the many things that make their culture unique.
