We allow parents to drop off their kids at 7am, and we have after school care up until 6pm. We also provide lunch to students who forgot to bring their own.

We have a newsletter that goes out monthly and informs parents of events, news, and updates pertaining to the school.

It is my first year at this school, but one thing I have noticed is that our school does a great job of using the “skill set” of parent volunteers. Especially on our summer work day, each parent gets to sign up for the area that they are gifted and help the school in that specific way. What a gift to our school community and I bet a true relief to parents, that they feel competent and helpful in the ways they are talented!

Our school supports parents by having an after-care school program that allows parents to pick up their child(ren) after school hours as many of our parents do not get off work until sometimes 6PM.

At my school, our goal is to partner with parents. In most cases that works well. We communicate regularly with parents and try to address behavior and academic issues early. This keeps an open line of communication that we establish early so parents are not caught by surprise.
