By including parents in platforms where resources are placed so both parent and child can have access to study material that they can both work on together and through these platforms parents are able to track their child’s progress.

We communicate with parents through the ManageBac platform daily from the start of school. We have parents’ evenings, and assessments are discussed in detail. Parents’ emails are shared in students’ google classrooms. They view all work posted by the subject teachers and can also view if children are handing in completed tasks or not.
With all the platforms, parents easily follow up on the progress of their children where ever they are. They are quick to respond to all issues. -
Instead of doing our band practice late at night and having the parents drop them off again, we decided to make band practice after school so that there is only 1 drop off and pick up per day.

We have parent evenings with teachers where parents are educated on how the summative assessments are conducted and graded. We also make use of Managebac platform to help parents keep track of their children education.

We provide extended care after school for parents who work late; we hold parent conferences; provide parent courses on a variety of topics; our doors are always open to parents for communication about curriculum, school policy etc. By providing a variety of pathways for parents to communicate with the school, creates a great partnership for helping the students.
