My school has a resource library for the parents/guardians of our students. Many books topics include parenting during a large age of social media, creating a Christ-centered home, etc. Parents can check out books at any point and bring them back whenever they are done. This has been a great way to build a greater connection between our school’s philosophy of education and the parents. We also have a weekly newsletter that goes out to all families letting them know what events are happening each week, including what students are learning with the classroom. With this, parents seem to be more in the know and up to date.

My school send out regular newsletters, emails, or utilize online portals to keep parents informed about classroom activities, events, and student progress. Parent-teacher conferences or virtual meetings are held to discuss individual student needs and progress from time to time.
The benefits: Parents
feel informed and involved in their child’s education. Also, there
is alignment between home and school expectations, helping students stay
focused and supported in both environments. My school provides access to counseling services for students and families, helping them
navigate personal challenges, mental health concerns, and life
transitions. Counselors at my school often hold workshops on managing
stress, parenting challenges, and supporting students emotionally. The benefit is that it helps
parents feel supported in times of crisis or when dealing with personal
struggles. -
Our school offers before and aftercare. This not only helps the parents, but it also helps the teachers with kids. We are able to drop the children off in the morning without having to try and watch them in the classroom before school. It helps teachers get prepared. It helps parents get to their jobs. Most of our high school parent meetings are set at 6 or 7pm for parents to be able to attend.

We have an active PTF for parents, and teachers. We classroom Moms that assist the teacher with planning fun activities and helping to communicate with parents.

My school recently opened up before school and after school care. It has made a huge impact on the lives of all of the working parents and grandparents. The benefit is more people are able to attend the school now that there is built-in child care. It also provides homework support and fun playtime for the children.
