In what practical ways do you and/or your school currently support parents? What benefits have you seen from this?

We have scholarships for our children that have financial difficulites.

I follow there schedules and if I have to stay longer then I would. This helps parents to be comfortable with being active with their children’s education. Also I offer volunteer opportunities for parents to work in the classroom. That way they know what is being taught and how the course progresses.

Well, last year was my first year teaching at this school and with Covid regulations, I know I did not see what the school normally has in place as a support for parents. I was informed the school did not do as much as they normally do because of the restrictions.

We support our parents by offering them ways to be involved in our school and share their talents and gifts. Benefit is more more involved parents and more caring students.
