I sometimes eat lunch with them and chat while doing so.
I check and ask about their grades in subjects I don’t teach and encourage them to do better,
I sometimes take time to have discussions with some of them about the behavioral challenges they have.
I disciple when I need to.
All these has made me have a good relationship with them and their parents.

Currently, I hold regular one-on-one meetings with my students to discuss their progress, concerns, and interests. I also pray for them when they are unwell and offer encouragement whenever I see they need it. As a result, they are more eager to communicate and connect with me, and they feel comfortable sharing their concerns.

I strive to connect with each of my students on a personal level, paying close attention to even their facial expressions. If I notice a student seems troubled, I make an effort to understand what’s going on. I also dedicate extra time outside of class to support struggling students and demonstrate my genuine interest in their progress.

Display school policies in my classroom. This helps in calling students’ attention to any area they have violated any of the policies. I also communicate regularly in a way that the students have developed a good habit of mind consciously about their acts.

I have clear policies that I establish at the beginning of the year. I respect my students and greet them every day. I ask how they are doing, if they look upset, I ask if they are doing alright. I have the library prepped and ready for them every day so the students can get their work done.
