I love letting them know that I have my full attention by listening intently and commenting on their interesting viewpoints and answers. I enjoy giving them praise when they’ve done something well or encourage them to keep trying if they are struggling with something. It’s always so enjoyable to see their face light up and demeanor change when they feel seen and heard. God has wired me to be a motivator and an encourager and I love looking for opportunities to work with students to show them how loved and valued they are

They have a very specific purpose on this Earth. They are loved, and they have been given specific gifts and abilities to use to glorify the Lord.

I ask them questions about their lives and give them insight into mine. I go to their extracurriculars and cheer them on and make sure to give hugs and high fives as they are walking down the hall.
