In what ways do you make your students feel valued?

Deleted User06/11/2022 at 18:35I make my students feel valued by telling, showing, encouraging, sympathizing, empathizing, in order to most of all relate to them- leading by example, reaching before teaching; never expecting them to give what has not been properly instructed.

Deleted User06/11/2022 at 06:41Use the scriptures like, “they are created in God’s image” that shows that they are very important and they re not just anybody but precious creation. I should treat them as Jesus would, with love.

Deleted User06/09/2022 at 09:26I Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing.” One way I try to make students feel valued is to ask them questions about themselves and spend quality time getting to know them. Another way that I help make them feel valued is to challenge them in their daily walk with Christ and take an invested interest in where they are in their relationship with Him.

Deleted User06/08/2022 at 18:15It was heartbreaking to hear the lecturer state that she has had students tell her that teachers have told them that they would never amount to anything. We are called to edify. That does not mean that we reward bad behavior or pretend that students are doing well if they are not even trying. I try to make my students feel valued by praying for them and asking how I can pray for them. I also point them to their value being defined by Christ’s love for them. I encourage them wherever I can. I look for ways to point out their successes.
