In what ways do you make your students feel valued?

Deleted User04/28/2022 at 14:37I take time to get to know each of them. I encourage them to grow in the areas of their life they need. I tell them all the time that I love them and Jesus does too. I give regular feed back to them regarding their growth and grades as well.

Deleted User04/02/2022 at 14:57Taking the time to time to not only learn and address them by name, but learn specifically what can be prayed for in their lives. My experience has been that if a student knows that you talk to God about them (positively) regularly. Chances are they feel valued. Even if they don’t express it publicly.

Deleted User03/16/2022 at 20:00Knowing students’ lives and interests, and listening to them when they talk to us about them, and showing genuine interest in care while we do, is so important make them feel valued. I make sure I know students’ names, and pronounce them correctly, and ask for updates about prayer requests or other things they have told me.
