I make sure to greet each student each day, look them in the eye, and let them know I see them. I try to listen to their challenges, whether at home or school, and I make sure to check in with them when I know difficult things are happening in their lives. I try to build relationship with each student by learning what he/she likes so I can connect with them on a deeper level.

I also pray with my students daily at the beginning of each course. I also talk to them individually to see how they are doing. If I know they are struggling I meet with them after school to help with homework as well.
