In what ways do you make your students feel valued?

Deleted User10/07/2021 at 11:18I take the time to listen and encourage. Stopping and listening to what the student has to say gives me opportunity to encourage them to find the solution to their problem or just give them the assurance that they are on the right path.

Deleted User09/27/2021 at 15:38There are several ways to help students feel valued. One of the most effective, is listening to the students and allowing them to assist in decision making. Students who feel heard are empowered and feel that they are given appropriate attentions.

Deleted User09/15/2021 at 11:07I strive to treat my students with the love of Christ in the way that I conduct our course, the way I address them in the halls, and being genuinely excited to see them. I also start every course with a “Question of the Day.” Some days it relates to the topic. Other days it does not. I go around a get a brief answer from each student. This communicates to them that I value their opinion, gives them an opportunity to be heard, and can often stimulate deeper discussion about a spiritual issue.
