I work on making my students feel valued by celebrating victories, big and small. I make an effort to do fun activities for the end of each large chapter in math. We do special classroom greetings and work on being bucket fillers.

Valuing my students is one of my biggest priorities in my job. I take time to listen to them, to care about what they care about (good or bad), to celebrate and mourn with them, and I try to be very intentional about never making their feelings seem silly or insignificant. I love being able to give them hugs, being able to laugh with them, and being able to keep up with their families and hobbies.
