My belief in Christ influences how I treat my students, how I feel about myself and the confidence it gives me, how I act as a role model to my students, and I share parts of my testimony with my students. It helps them to know that I am just like them, I support them in the good and bad times, and none of us are perfect except God. I encourage my students to pray when they are faced with a decision and we also pray as a course.

He gives me confidence that He is with me throughout the day. I have peace and joy in my heart despite the trials. I am able to pray for my students and point them to greater faith in Him. He is the fount of all truth and guides my every decision as I bless the children He allows me to influence.

Everything I do in the classroom revolves around what I know and understand about Christ. If Christ did not rise from the grave, my faith – and those of my students, is in vain and we have no hope! I can walk in each day to my course and help them understand our hope comes from Christ because He overcame death and the grave. He is alive! That permeates all I do and teach.

With Him as my Lord, everything that I do seeks to follow after Him. This impacts how I relate to my students. It impacts my lesson plans. And, it helps me to make sure that I am pointing others to Him.

The way I live should give evidence to the saving grace of Jesus. I can openly share and demonstrate a faith filled life.
