Jesus loves me, He died for me, He arose for me and He lives again for me. I want to share this truth with my students through my testimony and lessons so that they can come to a personal relationship with Him also.

It is the foundation of all I do in the classroom. I daily ask God to guide me, to work through me and to give me his eyes to see my students the way he does. His spirit is what leads me daily in all I do in the classroom.

My current belief in Jesus Christ influences my classroom with hope and freedom. It allows the student to know that they have a second chance in Christ and in my classroom they are given second chances. They are given mercy and shown grace. They are led to doing it their own way, then guided the correct way to show them the way to success. They are shown patience and in hopes they are returning patience and grace to those around them in other courses.

I am a child of God, and I know that He created everyone equally. He wants us all to believe in Jesus Christ and be His children. I have God’s love for my students, and I love to show them that I love them through God.

The biggest way my belief in Jesus influences my classroom is how I treat and interact with the children. I not only look at them as students, but as children of God who are sinful and in need of a Savior. I can teach them about grace by showing them grace. When I discipline I don’t do it for my good and my classroom rules, but I sit down and I tell them what sin I see in their life and why it is displeasing to God. I can go deeper than “you broke the rule” because I’m teaching them that the wages of sin is death and that it should be us that dies, but because Jesus loves us so much He died in our place.
