In what way(s) does your belief in Jesus Christ currently influence your classroom?

My belief in Jesus Christ is the entire reason that I left the Public School System and am now teaching in the Christian Schools. I could pray for the students in my classroom before and after school hours, I could have them stand for a moment of silence in the mornings. I could allow them to have a personal Bible in their desk to read during silent reading time, I could talk about Christmas as a holiday celebrated by Christians, but also had to teach about all other holidays, pagan and non-Christian, with the same emphasis. I was being forced to cover content and curriculum about “Susie and her two Daddies”, the Big Bang Theory, Darwin, and other topics that are being forced by the political and social agendas at play in the world today with the sole exclusion of God. My classroom in the Christian School is also a place where homosexuality may be happening in the home, but is not promoted in the classroom, where families may be encouraging the concept that people evolved from apes, but creation is promoted in the classroom. This is a place where the Bible can be read out-loud, where I can pray for students and we can pray as a course together. Where students are taught about being eternal beings and about a God of the Universe that created each one of them for a purpose. My God does not make mistakes or accidents He is a masterful creator and they can learn the gospel and how they are invited to be a part of His forever family in my classroom.
