My beliefs impact my interactions and relationships with my students. I want them to learn to be compassionate and to have a heart for serving others and leading others to Christ.

Elementary Technology Education in a Christian environment requires a balance of heavy web filtering and prevention, along with equipping them to be discerning in the resources they trust; sites/images they view; things they share/do/say, etc. It’s digital citizenship threaded on a narrow path with lots of armor and ample opportunities for problem-solving, self-control and giving God the glory.

I feel like my belief in Jesus Christ currently influences my classroom/office from the time I walk in the door in the morning. I start each morning with worship music in my office. I also have my favorite scriptures displayed in my office.

My belief in Jesus Christ affects how I treat my students. Even that student (Or students) that may be the most diffident to love, Jesus died for that student. That causes me to view them through His eyes, and find a way to get past what make them difficult to love, and love them anyway. I also have to remind myself that I too am difficult to love some days, but Jesus still loves me 365!
