Jeremiah 31:33 is important to me. I want His word written on my heart.

During my twenty-eight-year Christian life, I participated countless bible studies, studied the scriptures verse by verse by following along bible teacher’s instructions, but never formally and systematically learned how to study the bible. Here I am, I want to learn some foundational skills and tools that help me understand and live by God’s holy Word.

I want to know God better. The direction He wants for my life. I selected those reasons because I see soo much value in scripture, my heart recognizes the truth in the Word.
My overall goal in studying the Bible better, is for me to instinctively run to scripture for all situations.

To know Gods character, to feel his love, to learn and grow in faith and understand how to read and apply scripture in context instead of cherry picking passages

As much as I sometimes want to stay a baby in God’s eyes because in so many ways I resonate most with the Good Father that He is, I know that it is essential that I grow up. Studying the Bible effectively and truly learning to love God’s Word will help me to grow up and be obedient to his call on my life.
