I am taking this course to know God better and therefore better love God and understand his love for me. I want to hold his word close as it talks about in Deut 6:4-7. Overall, my goal for wanting to study the Bible better is to be be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:17).

I like the way that ODB structures their Bible studies. It is a good and well planned out structure that doesn’t cause confusion and elaborates what needs elaborated effectively. I want to study the Bible better so that I can be a more effective follower of Jesus as I have struggled with following His commandments at times and I also want to be able to effectively raise up my children.

I want to learn how to study the Bible better so I can be more confident in speaking to others about God.

I would prioritize them in the way they are written because knowing and loving God gives you the motivation to grow which in turn gives on the basis to serve; however, it should not be considered like a math class where one must master one before moving on to the other. Rather one should work to grow in all three areas.

The reason I wanted to take this course is to grow closer to God and to be better at sharing Christ with others. I selected those because I feel that I need to get closer to God and am not always equipped or prepared to share with others especially when they have deep questions.
I have done bible study, but most of the time it is from a book that focuses on a specific passage and the authors ideas are presented. I want to read and think more for myself rather than being spoon fed with stuff that may not actually be the point.
