In what ways have you seen hypocrisy in the church negatively impact the church’s witness to the world? What do you feel is the best way to eliminate hypocrisy in the church?

A lot of the issues with hypocrisy in the church I think stems partially from the fact that there are people that treat church like a social club, and then there is also demonic attacks that people don’t withstand.

I think an obvious example is how election season is handled. This time seems to be so polarizing and the unChrist-like way some treat others that think differently, no matter what side, is glaringly obvious to the world. Many have been deeply wounded by people within the church because of this. The best way to eliminate hypocrisy is to repent, live authentically, and truly abide with Jesus.

what I have seen in the church as hypocrisy is the pursue of leadership and money. the competition of leadership position in the denomination I was raise have impacted the church growth in negative way. Some members leave the church and stay in their homes. Others turned to other denominations.
