I think Monotheism and Nihilism are most opposite as monotheism states that we have a personal creator that is involved and creates meaning and nihilism basically states that we exist with no meaning.

Monotheism and Naturalism. Believing there is a God and believing we came from matter.

In Monotheism we find out who we are because of our created in God’s image, while Naturalism tells us that we are slowly involving from animals and no God exists.

In my opinion, I think that questioned is answered most differently between Monotheism and Nihilism. Monotheists believe that human beings are made in the image of God. They know their identity, whereas Nihilists have no clear, lasting identity. They assume that an identity applied to them outside of themselves is bogus.

Monotheistic belief of a personal God creating individuals for a specific purpose of relationship differs greatly from the nihilistic view of a “great cloud of unknowing”, a floating in purposeless existence.
