I believe that the question, “Who am I,” is answered most differently between Monotheism and Naturalism. Monotheist believe that God is our sovereign Creator, and therefore find our identity in God. However, a Naturalist believes that we came from matter and are just highly developed animals. Since the naturalist believe that we have no spirit, then our identity is somewhat of what we make it to be.

Nihilists and monotheists. Nihilists believe there is no purpose to anything where monotheists will derive their purpose and identity from God.

I think that Monotheism stands most opposed to Nilhism. It seems that rather than trusting in a Divine Creater who gives us signficance through Him, they find identity in just opposing everything that everyone else trusts. It must be a lousy way to live, always seeking conflict but never really knowing who you are.

Monotheism would have the understanding of a personal loving God giving ultimate meaning and purpose to a person, and its opposite would probably be Nihilism which ascribes zero meaning or foundation for understanding “Who am I?”, only doubt and skepticism of anything claiming to be true.

Monotheists believe that everything is created by God and we are made in His image. The Nihilism have no clear identity and they think the Christianity is bogus.
