    I have mentored new teachers and found it very rewarding as I not only guided them but learned from them, too.

    Yes, sometimes students need to be mentored by their teachers especially if they do not have an ideal role model at home.

    Our school in a k-12 school. I have students whom I have taught come back and talk to me. I believe you should always mentor your students or new teachers.

    No, it is not. There are many hats that we wear as educators but this is not one that I normally consider.

    Mentorship of my students (middle school students) is often more of setting expectations and holding students accountable, and helping them to understand why:
    Why is this important
    Why do I have to do this
    What difference will this make for me
    Who cares …
