Yes I do. Our students and parents are always looking up to us.

Yes, I feel that every time my students are in my classroom or I am interacting with them I am either in some way actively or passively mentoring them.

Yes, it is a huge part of what I do as a teacher. I am shaping the next generation and I want to make sure that they become Godly men and women. I want my students to care about others and show God’s love.

Very much so. Seeing the impact of educators overtime in the lives of students has convinced me that they watch and listen more than we believe in the moment. In a sea of voices, they are desperately seeking how who is credible and who they can trust for the answers they seek.

Yes, mentorship is part of my role as a Christian educator. It is imperative that I take the time to come alongside my students and help them with whatever it is they are needing, whether it is physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. If it becomes an area above my expertise, I can still mentor the student (and parents!) by giving them information about those that can continue to help.
